NEW YORK, NY - June 16, 2010. Concluding today at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, Incentive Travel Exchange surpassed expectations from both buyers and suppliers with positive growth for the MICE business. In partnership with Site, Incentive Travel Exchange 2010 has reported a record number of submitted RFPs, more than 6,000 one-to-one appointments conducted and multiple networking opportunities to strengthen business relationships.
“From the opening to closing reception of Incentive Travel Exchange, the buzz is the MICE market in North America is rebounding," remarked event director, Alicia Evanko. “We have received positive feedback regarding the overwhelming amount of anticipated and future bookings that will result as a product of the one-to-one appointment format we deliver. We are delighted that year after year attendees count on our event as a necessary part of their business.”
Buyers met with a global list of suppliers matching their interest during pre-scheduled appointments. “Incentive Travel Exchange is the only event I make sure to attend every year as the format allows me to maximize my time meeting with suppliers,” noted Jennifer Ludwig, Travel Buyer, Maxvantage. “I get to network with suppliers I currently have business booked with but also get to meet with those that I know little about, thus increasing my destination knowledge. Suppliers agreed that the format is ideal and added that the quality of buyers surpassed expectations. “Over the past two days, I have met with the highest quality of buyer that is available,” shared Emily Picavazzi, Telluride Tourism Board. “The Incentive Travel Exchange takes the time to pre-qualify ensuring suppliers meet with those that have an interest in your company. Incentive Travel Exchange drew suppliers from across the globe representing: hotels and resorts, spas, destinations, cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies and more. Attendees were North American incentive buyers representing high-volume domestic and international purchasing power. The sixth annual Incentive Travel Exchange will take place June 20-22, 2011 at the THEhotel at Mandalay Bay.
